Jubilee "Synthestiks"  Acetal Drumsticks.

Jubilee Synthestiks are the new revolutionary drumsticks.  The bottom half is wood for doing "Rimshots" and the top half is 'Acetal' (similar to delrin).   Acetal gives you a sound that is stronger than the multipiece wood sticks but weaker than whole wood sticks.

The acetal portion is made of 6 3/16" strands with the middle strand being rooted into the wood based for stability.   The two are joined together by a brass ring, glued and taped for a very strong bond.  1/2" diameter.

Acetal has good properties to it, it will last longer than wood sticks made the same way.

Jubilee Full Acetal "Synthesticks"
